FEATURES AND USAGE AREAS

316 has excellent corrosion resistance. Pitting corrosion is high resistance and it is resistant to high temperatures by Mo addition. Used in heavy conditions. Hardenability is very good. (It is not magnetic.)

This is preferred in sea water equipment, chemical equipment, paper, paint, acid, fertilizer, photo and food industry, marine constructions, ropes, rods, bolts and nuts.
